The aim of this course is provide an education in the professional practice of psychology, such that the graduate is eligible to gain registration as a provisional psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA). This fifth year has been designed specifically to meet APAC guidelines for such education, and is the fifth year in the 5+1 pathway towards generalist registration with the PsyBA.
This course is a one year full-time course. Applicants must have completed an APAC accredited fourth year in psychology, with grades equivalent to at least second class honours. Under exceptional circumstances, applications from students with a credit average may be considered.
There are two components in this course; coursework and a field placement. No research/thesis is required.
