The Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy program is available for people wanting in-depth and advanced professional education in psychotherapy. Students will be involved in the theory and practice of psychotherapy; there will be supervised case-work and careful study of the therapeutic relationship with various interpersonal problems and disorders.
Students will gain experience with different client groups including children, individuals, families and community groups. The higher degree includes a monitored research project, which will involve a study of research procedures relevant to psychotherapy processes and outcomes, as well as a written thesis on an aspect of psychotherapy and practice.
Students will:
- Gain valuable practical experience in counselling and psychotherapy.
- Gain experience in counselling people with depression, trauma, children, and relationship and marriage problems.
- Receive individual supervision in accordance with the ethical, legal, and professional issues associated with counselling and psychotherapeutic practice.


Educating Practitioners
