Applicants are required to have completed a three year sequence in an APAC accredited course of study. This fourth year has been designed specifically to meet APAC guidelines for such education.
The course aims to provide for the completion of a four year sequence, which is a requirement for advanced study in psychology. The content of the course includes theoretical and empirical bases for psychological measurement and assessment, as well as the evidence-based approaches to psychological intervention. Professional practice issues and ethics are also integral to the course.
It is a one year full-time course. Applicants are expected to have least an average of second class honours degree in psychology. In some circumstances, applicants with a credit average may be considered. There is no placement in this course. Students will be expected to undertake a substantial research project, consisting of approximately one half of the course.
